Just got a hint to check out this little tool for the rest of us: selfcontrol. It does not do much, but the one thing - blocking internet traffic - is done perfectly. Even restarting the system or deleting the app wont undo the blocking until the timer stops (although I think that any user who really understands his system wont have a problem to fix that). And did I mention it is free, open source, and on github?
